Prior experience is not expected for our foundational-level offerings.

Yearlong Ensembles

Lucciòle

Slated for a September 2026 Launch in Broomfield, CO!

As “Fireflies” in Italian, Lucciòle ensembles support musicians in their first year on a chosen instrument as they begin to glow! Members are guided through every step of the journey, from acquiring an instrument and essential supplies to developing proper setup and basic maintenance routines.

Musicians build core skills in music reading, aural development, and the fundamentals of playing both independently and in ensemble settings. While the focus is on foundational growth, members also engage in meaningful and high-quality musical experiences made possible through Lumiroar’s supportive community and unique ensemble structure.

While youth-focused ensembles may be added in future seasons (similar to the video above), this opportunity is designed for adults (ages 18+). No prior experience or audition is required, but you’ll be flying and shining in no time!

Asteri

Slated for a 2027 Launch in Broomfield, CO!

As the “Stars” in Greek, symbolizing guidance and shared light, Asteri ensembles provide musicians with a space to continue their musical development within a collaborative and supportive community. These groups emphasize ongoing growth, musical enjoyment, and ensemble experience with enhanced performance opportunities to brighten our local community.

While youth-focused ensembles may be added in future seasons (similar to the video above), this opportunity is designed for adults (ages 18+). Most musicians in Asteri ensembles have 1–3 years of experience on their instrument. An audition is required.

Solaris

Slated for a 2027 Launch in Broomfield, CO!

As the “Sun” in Latin, symbolizing warmth, energy, and expansive light, Solaris ensembles offer advancing musicians a place to further refine and expand their musical experiences within a vibrant community of peers. Further enhanced performance opportunities are provided to brighten our world!

These ensembles focus on continued artistic development, performance excellence, and meaningful ensemble collaboration. Most musicians in Solaris ensembles have 3 or more years of experience. This opportunity is designed for ages 15+. An audition is required.

Ensemble Size & Instruments
Ensembles for the 2026-2027 season will range in size from 4-16 members to provide both a collaborative and individualized experience for all. Our ensembles will comprise of violin, viola, and cello for this season, but we may offer opportunities bass, guitar, and others in the future!


Rehearsals
Full Lucciòle Schedule Coming Soon! - Likely 40 Thursdays throughout September-August from 6:00-7:30pm and/or Saturdays from 10:30am-12:00pm in or near Broomfield, Colorado.


Performances

Yearly Membership - $2000

Includes:

  • Over 60 hours of in-person rehearsals

  • Practice plans for guided personal development between rehearsals

  • At least 2 community performances

  • At least 20 opportunities for personal gifts of your performance to others!

  • Lumiroar Lion’s Legacy Membership which supports our mission of making music accessible to all people through the production and distribution of educational resources and performance content! Over 2000 youth musicians will benefit from your membership!


Materials Needed
Each musician will need to bring their own preferred instrument from those that will be utilized for the format of the ensemble. If you do not yet have an instrument or these supplies, we suggest that you wait until to do so until we provide you with resources and additional guidance.

That said, some initial information is provided below, and we’ll cover more details during our upcoming discussions, whether through meetings or phone calls. Please wait to purchase anything until we have provided the full information.

  • Instrument, Bow, and Protective Case (Starting rentals are around $30-50 a month, depending on the instrument. Please let us help guide you in the rental or purchase of an instrument.)

Lightning League

Single-day, 3-hour music-making experiences! Perfect for team-building experiences and memorable active parties!

All participants will play the ukulele as part of this workshop. While it is anticipated that many participants will have little to no experience with music-making, if some participants do, our format allows for them to play at their level.

Each event includes a Lumiroar Lion’s Legacy Membership which supports our mission of making music accessible to all people through the production and distribution of educational resources and performance content!

Fee: $1500 for up to 15 participants. Up to 10 additional participants can be added for $50 each (Max size is 25 participants for $2000).

Most experiences are currently centralized in or near Broomfield, Colorado, but events in other locations are possible. Additional destination-based fees may apply.

Aspen Music Festival and School’s Mariachi Workshop

Basalt/Aspen, Colorado, USA

Learn from and perform alongside professional mariachi in this three-day workshop for students (grades 5-12) and beyond!The program includes:

  • Active full-group rehearsals and technique-building sessions on traditional mariachi instruments (vihuela, guitarrón, violin, guitar, trumpet, and voice) and non-mariachi instruments alike...Whatever instrument you play, you CAN participate!

  • Instructional breakouts with musical mentors from across Colorado

  • Keynote presentations on the tradition and historical evolution of mariachi folk music

  • Inter-generational learning opportunities

  • A featured performance in the Klein Music Tent as part of the AMFS's Mariachi Celebration on July 1

  • Fun, friendship, community building and more!
