Performance Alterations - Version 6/1/26

  • The beginning of this arrangement can be changed slightly to perform in a manner often done by Mariachi. These changes would only occur during the first run of the section, not on later repetitions.

    • Harmony Heart - Rest all of measure 1. Rest on m.2 for the first quarter, and change beats 2 and 3 to only be quarter notes. (i.e. Beginning would be Rest, Rest, Rest, Rest, G, G, and then m. 3 would continue as written.

    • Harmony Essence and Bassline Heart and Vast - Rest all of measure 1. Begin as written in measure 2.

    • Roots - Rest during measures 1 and 2.

Errata, Requests, and Possible Future Updates - Version 6/1/26

  • The Melody 1 and 2 rhythms of m. 55 and 63 can be updated to the rhythm of m. 1 and 9. The change of rhythm was done on purpose to highlight the text of the chorus, but this aspect will likely be unified in future arrangements for simplicity of form.

  • Melody 1 and 2 - The notes printed are what was desired in m. 33 and 41 to add a special expanded dissonance before resolving in the following measures. The “A” on the 2nd beat, is the most expanded note. It can be changed to a “G”, if desired.

  • For m. 33-47, the voicings printed allowed for simplicity and uniformity across instruments in the arrangement, but in many traditional performances featuring only trumpets and violins, the upper part of this Lumiroar arrangement is often performed down an octave to create more 6th intervals between the parts.

  • Melody 1 - Essence parts may be added in the future to serve as a bridge to the Heart and Vast parts. The Essence part would include simplified rhythms that still align with the Heart and Vast parts.

  • Additional Melody and Bassline Vast parts will be considered.

  • Separate harp and piano parts will be considered, and fills (glissandos) will likely be added. A fuller approach to the chords of each will be considered, though the current goal of these Multi-Level Masterpiece arrangements is that each part is playable by the other instruments, so we may keep this aspect still on the simpler side.

  • Bassline - Essence parts with simplified rhythms will be considered.
